cairo-dock-core software package provides Light and eye-candy dock to launch your programs (core package), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cairo-dock-core
cairo-dock-core is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cairo-dock-core package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cairo-dock-core *
You will get with cairo-dock-core package name, version, architecture and description in a table
